SOCIAL FABRIC: The Weaving Wall

COME AND BE A PART OF SOCIAL FABRIC!

THIS IS A SPACE WHERE YOU CAN GET INSPIRED BY THE ARTISTS IN PLIABLE PLANES AND CONTRIBUTE YOUR OWN THREAD TO OUR COMMUNITY WEAVING WALL!

Pliable Planes: Expanded Textiles & Fibre Practices features the work of artists who reimagine practices in textiles and fibre arts. Many of the artworks in the exhibition reflect on the use of textiles to chart social and cultural change, creating new understandings of how textiles and fibre are defined in our current time.

Social Fabric: The Weaving Wall is an open invitation for you to be a part of the narrative. Learn about the ancient and enduring textile traditions of weaving and contribute your own woven piece to our communal artwork, leaving an indelible mark on the fabric of our project. Throughout the length of the exhibition, this all-ages activity is a space to learn, create, and collaborate, forming a tapestry of shared experiences and perspectives.
